Shipping policy
Getting your parts to us
You arrange and pay for the shipping in. Our shipping address is not posted on this site — we send it to you with your service order form once your job is set up, so get a quote first.
When you send parts in:
- Use a tracked service and keep the receipt. A tracking number is what settles an argument with a carrier later.
- Insurance is not added unless you ask for it. If your parts are worth insuring — and on a full marker they usually are — say so when the job is set up, and we will add it to the parcel coming in and to the one going back. You can ask for the return leg any time before your parts ship; it goes on your final balance.
- Pack so nothing can move inside the box. Wrap each piece on its own so metal can't rub against metal, and use a box the parts can't slide around in. Loose packing peanuts don't hold a part still.
- Send only the parts being worked on, taken apart, with o-rings, seals, springs, screws and electronics off. If you'd rather we did that, we offer teardown and reassembly for a fee — ask when you get your quote.
- Put a note in the box with your name and the email address you used for the quote.
While your parts are with a carrier
Parts in the post are at your risk, in both directions. We can't be held responsible for a part that is lost, delayed or damaged while it is in a shipping company's hands — a claim for that has to go to the carrier, which is why the tracking number and the insurance matter. We'll help you with whatever paperwork we can.
Getting your parts back
Return shipping is yours as well. It is added to your final balance, and your parts ship once that balance is paid. Tracking comes to you by email.
Where we work from, and where we ship
We're in Fullerton, California, and we ship finished work within the United States — and we take international orders too. If you're outside the US, you cover the shipping and any tariffs or customs charges on parts traveling both ways. Ask before you send anything, so we can work those costs out with you first.
How long it takes
It depends on the job and how busy the shop is, so we give you a time estimate with your quote rather than one blanket promise for every job. If you have a deadline, say so when you ask for your quote and we'll tell you straight away whether we can hit it.
Dropping parts off in person
Drop-offs and collections are by appointment only, and the shop address isn't posted on this site. You can also hand parts over in person at any event we're attending. Either way it starts the same: send your quote request first, so we know what's coming before you turn up with it.
If your parts sit here
If a job is finished and we can't reach you, we will keep your parts safe for 45 days from the day we first write to you. After that we may treat them as abandoned. We'd much rather hear from you — one reply is all it takes.
